Welcome to Le Couret Ciel D'Or, Massif Central, France.

Le Couret Ciel D’Or, located in the beautiful Puy de Dome area of France, offers high quality villa, holiday and short break accommodation with pool and spa facilities in this hidden part of France. We love to organise and cater for individual special events, conferences, weddings and often host personal and spiritual development courses. B+B, full and half board are also available and it is our speciality and delight to provide options for vegetarians, vegans and special diets.

This wonderful property, nestled into the hillside, is set in a relatively unknown area of central France yet offers a wealth of sights and activities. The Auvergne is known for its volcanic mountain ranges including  the Sancy range, Puy-de-Dome and the Chaine de Puys, which provide the source for Volvic mineral water. It is a lush area which is ideal for those still seeking a  truly traditional part of France where time seems to have stood still and where nature is at its' heart.

Le Couret Ciel D'Or has been equipped to a high standard with warm fabrics and comfortable living throughout. Each room is decorated to a high standard, with en-suite bathrooms, private patios and countryside views. There is something for everyone, including a conservatory style indoor pool, snooker, tennis, and spa facilities.  You can go walking in the old volcanic hills or deep valley gorges that surround the property, or simply a take a short ride to the nearby Roman bridge at Pont de Menat and picnic by the river, or to St Eloy to visit the lake.

Le Couret Ciel D'Or is available all year and is ideal for summer vacations & winter retreats. It is also 1 hour away from Mont Dore and the Sancy range of mountains where there is winter skiing. Clermont Ferrand station and airport is 45mins away, St Etienne and Limoges airports are 2.5hrs, and Lyon 3 hours.

"The peaks of ancient volcanoes crested through the mist above, mossy green and mysterious, as we entered the sweeping valley.  The cows poked their heads with casual interest over the old stone walls and it felt like we'd been transported to a slower, gentler age. This is the Auvergne region, which boasts the Puys Chain, the largest group of volcanoes in EuropeIn between the now grassy tops are hidden lakes, forests and gorges, medieval villages and castles.

As we drove along, watching red squirrels dance through the trees I felt utterly relaxed.  No wonder the French have kept the Auvergne to themselves!"
