This
wonderful property is set in a relatively unknown area of France,
offering a wealth of sights and activities. The Auvergne is popular for
its volcanic mountain ranges, Puy-de-Dome & Mont Dore, which provides
the source for Volvic mineral water and both summits are visible from
the property. It is a lush area which is becoming increasingly popular
for those still seeking a less known part of France.
Activities range from walking, canoeing on the wide rivers, to skiing,
horse riding and golf. For the less active there are many historical
sights, and lovely villages to visit.
Le
Couret has been equipped to a high standard with warm fabrics and
comfortable living throughout. Each room is decorated to a high
standard, with en-suite bathrooms, private patios and countryside views. There is something for everyone,
including a
conservatory style indoor pool, snooker, tennis, and spa facilities.
You can go walking in the old volcanic hills or deep valley gorges that
surround the property, or simply a take a short ride to the nearby Roman
bridge at Pont de Menat to view the river, or to St Eloy to visit the
lake.
Le
Couret is available all year and is ideal for summer vacations & winter
retreats. It is also 45mins away from the Mont Dore Mountains, so it is
ideal for skiing. The nearby Clermont Ferrand airport (45mins) and Limoges (2.5hrs) make it easily
accessible.
