The word spa
originated from the Latin phrase ‘sanitas per aqua’ meaning ‘health
through water’. The healing and regenerative powers of water have been
known to man for centuries. The early Romans discovered natural mineral
springs in a town called ‘Spa’ where frequently healing through water
became a much enjoyed use of personal time. Coupled with the use of
minerals and herbs we now have an intimate relationship with the whole
curative effects of nature. Ciel D’or offers a range of treatments in
beautiful surroundings that relax your senses and nurture your body,

A
unique and
Revitalizing
Mineral Facial
using the fabulous Dead Sea Premier products
The face is cleansed
using a gentle lotion containing Dead Sea minerals then a new
generation of gentle skin peeling masks is applied which contains 19
coordinated ingredients including energy, oxygen, collagen, beta
carotene and Dead Sea minerals which are specially meant for
activating and regenerating the skin and accelerating the
assimilation of nutrients by the cells. The skin is massaged ready
for an anti-wrinkle face mask which targets dehydrated areas and
diminishes fine lines. A toner is then applied followed by a silky
facial serum with vitamins E and C which supplies an invisible
support for the skin. The skin is finally gently massaged with a
moisture cream to seal in the skin’s natural goodness.

Facials
The face is one of the most exposed parts of the body; it
is the first thing that you present to the world and it is open to all
the elements of nature. When your face looks and feels good, you feel
good all over!
Herbario Regenerative
Facial
Using pure herbs the face is
cleansed with a gentle scrub and facial massage to prepare your skin for
a mask of essential repair oils that purify the skin. A toner and
moisturiser are then used to seal in all the goodness. Suitable for all
skin types.
Green Peel Powerful
Restoration Facial (subject to
availability &consultation)
The face is gently cleansed
and massaged before applying a mixture of herbs that go deep into the
skin and remove dead cells. The face is then moisturised. This treatment
is good for scars, toxic residue, acne, freckles and deep lines. This
can also be used on the body for stretch marks. Not suitable for
delicate skin. A follow-up appointment is required.
Body Treatments
What you think and feel about yourself is reflected in
the body. When you give time to nurture and nourish the body, then you
have given yourself a message of care.
Ciel D’or Clay Wrap
- A unique blend of clay and
herbs are mixed into a paste and applied to the body. The treatment aids
in the elimination of toxins leaving your skin feeling soft and
refreshed. A nourishing moisturiser will complete this penetrative
treatment.
Body Zing
Scrub! -
Indulge in a eucalyptus and
ginger or a maracuja and passionflower body scrub that is designed to
revitalize the inner as well as the outer. Cleanse and invigorate the
skin under the shower jets. Finish with a moisturiser which is gently
massaged into the skin sealing in all that zing!
Tone & Sculpt -
This treatment focuses on
the abdominal area. A wrap made of clay and herbs is applied which draws
out fats, toxins and residue from the abdominal wall. Whilst the clay is
working a soothing head massage is given to ease away stress. A blitz
with the shower jets then cleanses the area before an extra firming
herbal cream is applied to tone the skin and help reduce cellulite.
Castor Oil Wrap -
This wrap can be used on any
part of the body. It is used for restoration and detoxification of the
body. Finished with a gentle essential oil massage. Fantastic for
improving the circulation and nervous system.
Massage Therapies
One of the greatest
healing modalities is touch. Let the touch of massage penetrate into the
fibres of your muscles and skin to bring about the release of energetic
blocks and tension. When your muscles are relaxed, then the world is an
easier place and your natural energy can flow.
Golden Wings Chi Massage
- This type of massage is an
ancient eastern movement that focuses on repairing the energy body by
draining the body of stagnant chi and re-filling it with fresh vibrant
chi. A beautiful relaxing massage. A must for tired bones and
stress.
Remedial Body Work -
An advanced massage
technique that focus on the muscular framework of the body. It is
designed to ease tension and promote the recovery of strained muscles. A
fantastic way of improving flexibility and wellbeing. A neck, shoulder
and back massage is also available.
Detox Baths
The inner is the outer
and the outer is the inner. Submerge yourself in the healing power of
water combined with nature’s curative mineral and herb elements.
Ciel D’or Detox Bath
- This is a unique volcanic
clay. A consultation with your therapist will determine the type of
herbs that are mixed with the clay to aide specific organs in the
elimination of toxins and metals. This clay is good for addictive
tendencies, illness and general detox. A regenerative chi massage
finishes off this treatment.
Green Clay Therapeutic
Baths & Wraps -
This is a green mineral &
herb clay that can be used on the body as a paste or diluted in water.
It aids in the elimination of fats and toxins from the body as well as
nourishing with minerals. This deep treatment concludes with a gentle
lymphatic drainage massage to replenish the body.
Foot Treatments
The feet are the furthest
part from the brain and they are often overlooked and neglected. We rely
on them to support us throughout our lifetime, so give the most distant
part of you the gentle and nourishing care that they deserve.
Reflexology -
An ancient healing method
that re-aligns the energetic pathways of the body. Pressure is applied
to the points of the feet, which stimulates your natural energy to bring
equilibrium to the body. Relax with soothing eye pads and a foot
finishing moisturiser.
Foot Regeneration -
Give your feet that extra
special time. First the feet are immersed in a clay foot bath to draw
out any tiredness and stress. The feet are then washed, dried, gently
exfoliated and a soothing massage with essential oils finishes this
treatment.
Other Treatments For Your
Wellbeing
We have added ear
treatments to our menu as we feel that the ears have a pressure point
that is attached to all the organs of the body. Work on the ears and
reach the rest! Healing is also an important part of what we have to
offer at Le Couret, so lay back and enjoy all the goodness of love and
chi to restore energy to the inner you.
Ear Acupuncture -
A wonderful treatment for
restoring balance to the body. The therapist will locate problematic
areas in the organs or flow of chi in the body. The tiny acupuncture
needles are then placed in the points which are reflected in the ear.
This drives out the stagnant chi from the body and releases your own
ability to bring back equilibrium.
Hopi Ear Wax Candles -
This is an ancient art to
draw out troublesome wax, dust and residue from the ears by using Hopi
candles. This is a tranquil time of gentle therapy that will leave your
ears and head area feeling clear and lifted.
Advanced Healing Therapy
- The therapists have been
specially trained by international teacher Mike Robinson to work on deep
levels within the aura and organs of the body. You will be cleared first
of any energetic stagnant blocks and then filled with fresh chi. A
wonderful way to deal with deep hidden issues or just to relax and sink
into the feeling of being nurtured.
